I, Engr. Salahuddin Ahmed am associated with steel structure designing, manufacturing and construction of steel building since I passed from BUET in 2006. I have served many renowned steel building companies in Bangladesh like Jalalabad Steel Building Limited, Automan Steel Building Ltd. Since 2013 I am running my own steel building construction company named as ASM Engineers & Consultants. My company has built already over 80 steel structures all around Bangladesh including single storied, multistoried. We have manufactured Garment industry, Food Industry, Shoe Industry, Battery Industry, Electronic Industry and many other manufacturing industries.
My largest steel building project is Southeast Sweaters Ltd. which is situated in Dobadia, Uttarkhan, Dhaka which is about 200000 Sft. This garment building is fully compliance by ACCORD.
I have constructed a special brick manufacturing factory of Unique Ceramic Industries Ltd. in Konabari and Dr. Syed Fakhrul Amin, Professor of Geotechnical Engineering of BUET was the consultant of that project.
I have done 5 storied steel structure shoe factory in Mouchak , Gazipur of Hamko Footwear Limited, an export oriented shoe manufacturing industry.
I have done various types of steel lift core, steel stair, steel mezzanine floor in various industries.
I use crane for erection of steel buildings, special type of erection tools are used to construct the building in perfect alignment.
In my long run in steel building manufacturing and erection, I have worked with Professor Dr. Shamim Z Boshunia, Professor Syed Fakhrul Amin, Retired Engr Ahsan Habib of PWD, Architect Shahidul Hasan Azad of Prokolpa Upadeshta, Davis Liu of Xian Sheungfeng Manufacturing Factory of China, Engr Akram of Technocorn Ltd., Spectrum Lanka of Srilanka. Etc.
Steel building is an art. This type of structure is widely used in worldwide for its various helpful uses. It can be used in long span, can be constructed very easily in short period of time, very suitable for earthquake and also very economic in costing etc. So, steel building is being widely used in Bangladesh by Industrialists, Engineers & Consultants.
And so I made my mind to be involved with steel structure after passing from BUET in 2006.
